MIDNIGHT POTTER STUDIOS FREE OFFER TO POTTERS WISHING TO THROW BOWLS FOR THE ANNUAL EVENT
Here's the deal:
The clay & glaze is from my studio only. I can fire other peoples bowls made outside of the studio for a firing fee, which is $35 for the large kiln, $15 for the medium kiln, or by the piece based on size, in inches.
What I'm offering for free is: Use of the studio on Fridays 12-6pm during January 2012, (may extend into February if needed), to throw bowls in the studio using the clay I provide. This offer is for experienced potters who already have the skills and know what to do. There is no instruction provided, except the training of how to clean up in my studio and getting familiar with the studio.
I provide the clay. People throw the bowls and trim them if they can, or else let me know if they can't trim them (due to time constraints) and I will trim them. Firing of the bowls made in the studio is included. Then I handle all the glazing of the bowls made in the studio. I am budgeting for the donation of 300 bowls, made in the studio.
Anything made outside of the studio is not part of my free offering. But I can accommodate items from outside the studio for a fee. Before firing, I require information on the clay body & glazes being used; the manufacturer of the clay & glazes, and the name of the materials used.
